Determination of vitamin D level in chicken eggs from conventional and free range systems

چکیده

This study aimed to investigate the vitamin D levels and some quality features of eggs. A total 150 eggs (75 conventional 75 free-range) were selected for study. The 25-OH determined by liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) in egg yolks. Furthermore, we evaluated weights egg, yolk, albumen, yolk color as well shape index, shell thickness, percentages shell. significantly higher (P < 0.01) than free-range percentage However, thickness It can be concluded that related color. characteristics also influenced various environmental factors.
